Constant Garden Desktop Audio Appointments Manager [Design Concept]

As far as concepts go this device, known as the Constant Garden, is certainly one of the more fascinating we’ve come across of late in serving not only as an appointments manager capable of reminding you of important meetings but also a ambient background audio device that plays ‘nice garden sounds’ (such as birdsong, we assume) designed to act as a calming influence to lower anxiety in the office as well as remind you that there’s more to life than just work.

Devised of during a project concerning Industrial Sound Design at the Umea Design School, the Constant Garden works courtesy of a series of earbuds contained within the abstract, (‘alienesque’) plant like forms allowing the device to play audio as well as issue appointment reminders.

We love both the simplicity and the quirkiness and would have little hesitation in granting pride of place on our desktop to one of these. How about you?
