Looking for an iPod Touch and/or iPhone docking station that not only boasts sleek, rather minimalist aesthetic appeal which can be wall mounted and which happens to boast touch sensitive controls? The Acoustic Research AR5100 iPod Touch/iPhone Docking Station, or the Acoustic Research High Performance Audio Docking System as it’s specifically known, will doubtless appeal.

Promising high-end audio quality – though we are, at the time of writing, unable to gain any insight as to its exact audio performance (we are yet to locate any detailed product specifications – though we can advise that the unit sports horn-loaded tweeters, a ported subwoofer enclosure and premium audio crossovers), the Acoustic Research High Performance Audio Docking System has been designed to house either Apple’s iPod Touch and/or iPhone via a recessed docking area, thus keeping the width of the device to a minimum (just 2” to be specific) when wall mounted and, on aesthetic appeal alone, it certainly impresses.

The Acoustic Research High Performance Audio Docking System, which also comes with integrated video out connectivity, will purportedly become available next week and will set you back around $200.
