We’re not alone in being particular admirers of all things LaCie and, whilst rather more whimsical in nature than their usual fair, these LiCie CurrenKey coin styled USB flash memory drives, designed by 5.5 Designs and available in both bronze and silver finishes, positively ooze appeal in keeping with just about everything LaCie put their name to.

Billed as being shock-proof and highly durable thanks to being die-cast, the LaCie CurrenKey USB 2.0 flash drives measure in at 36 x 9mm, offer a transfer rate of up to 480Mbits/s and are set to retail for just shy of $20 and $30 for the bronze 4GB CurrenKey and the 8GB CurrenKey respectively – though, at the time of writing, no actual date of release has been stipulated.
