Retro Boombox LCD Wrist Watch

In honesty we’re not sure whether this watch is either cool (in an obviously retro fuelled fashion) or not,  but one thing’s for certain – that being that this Retro Boombox LCD Watch patently doesn’t take itself too seriously and, on this particularly grey and cold Sunday, the fact that it brought a smile to our faces (yes, we have more than one of them) somehow counts.

Fun, highly whimsical and not without an overt quirkiness, the Boombox watch comes in either Gun Metal or Silver and, in terms of functionality, as you’d probably expect, there really isn’t a great deal on offer – if you’re thinking it plays MP3’s, for example, you are wholly misguided – but, sometimes in life, it helps just to take a step back and not take things too seriously and, in that respect, not withstanding a certain tackiness (yes, we’ll admit that) this Boombox watch conveys a sense of fun that we cannot help but like in the same way that we often find ourselves tapping our foot to Europop nonsense on the radio (though we’d never want to be seen doing it).

Quite whether this particular watch is cool or not is, of course, wholly open to question – certainly when viewed in context of the magnificently cool watches already featured here on EP – but, well, it just appeals (perhaps we’re suffering from a vitamin deficiency).
