Boasting particularly a novel, and decidedly geeky, design inspired by the Escape (ESC) key on a PC keyboard, this alarm clock concept by Santiago Cantera is gaining significant exposure at the time of writing and understandably so.

Information concerning the Escape Clock, as it’s officially titled, is on the sparse side but its reported that the device would is conceived of being wireless – a report that’s underpinned by an image showing a separate clock radio in the distance – though whether the Escape Clock would support wireless (Bluetooth) streaming from, say, an iPod dock as opposed to the non-iPod docking station shown is purely speculative on our part (but this would make sense, certainly in terms of potential consumer appeal).
No word as yet as to whether the Escape Clock will see it into production but, assuming it does (and it has the momentum behind it in terms of wide interest) we don’t doubt that Santiago Cantera would have a commercial success on his hands. We hope it finds the backing it needs.
